MIGRANT YOUTH VISION PROJECT
Skip navigation

Our community prospers when young people are educated, employed and active.

The Youth Services team within Multicultural Australia supports young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds during their settlement journey in Australia.

Our services are responsive to and informed by the needs of the young people we serve.

We provide one-on-one support where we:

  • work individually with each client
  • listen to their aspirations and goals
  • support them by making a plan
  • connect them with other services
  • provide them with the tools they need to be equipped and resourceful to shape their own future

We also provide group activities such as:

  • information sessions on specific topics relevant to our client's needs
  • industry knowledge in collaboration with leaders in industries relevant to young people
  • regular drop-in sessions across our different offices and community hubs
  • school holidays activities
  • cultural celebrations for young people from diverse cultural backgrounds

As part of the Youth Services team, there is a Future Leaders Advocacy Group (FLAG) which you can learn more about it here.

Multicultural Australia is also proud to support young people in our Welcome Café, a barista training program for young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds which you can read more about here.

Acknowledgement of country
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of all the lands on which we meet, work and live and recognise that this land has always been and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.

Multicultural Australia respects and values Australia’s First Nation peoples’ enormous resilience, courage, determination and often unrecognized contributions to this country’s social and economic development. We walk together in solidarity in the shared pain of the past and with shared hope for the future.
