Fostering independence and connection

Our Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program helps individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds build capacity within the first five years of settlement in Australia. We help our clients get connected to services and support to build their confidence and increase their capacity to succeed. We provide intake, triage services and one-on-one support delivered by case managers with the knowledge, experience and cultural capability to work with clients in ways that make them feel supported and safe in Queensland.

We offer several bespoke programs to help our clients create meaningful connections and feel a greater sense of belonging. Groups for young people, women, men and families, help clients become part of communities and interest groups that take them out of their comfort zone and foster independence. Humanitarian entrants or family stream migrants with limited or no English who have been in Australia for less than five years, are eligible to participate in our SETS program.

The program operates in Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Wide Bay, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Townsville and Rockhampton.

We who have come from many places acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land which always was and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island land. We pay our respects to their Elders throughout all time. We walk together in solidarity of the pain of the past and the shared hope for the future.
