On Thursday, 5 December 2024, Multicultural Australia (MA) hosted its inaugural Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Brighton Homes Arena, the home of the Brisbane Lions.
Held on World Volunteering Day, the event honoured the contributions of volunteers who dedicate their time and skills to creating a sense of belonging for culturally diverse communities across Queensland.
Speaking at the event, Multicultural Australia CEO, Christine Castley, expressed deep gratitude for the dedication and impact of the organisation’s volunteers.
“More than 200 volunteers have supported us in 2024, helping to create welcome and belonging for Queenslanders from diverse backgrounds,” Ms. Castley said.
“In alignment with Multicultural Australia’s core values—Empower, Commit, Connect, Respect, and Welcome—we are proud to recognise five extraordinary individuals who embody these values, inspire change, and dedicate themselves to making a difference.”
