Guiding and empowering young refugees and migrants

Multicultural Australia’s Youth team supports young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to achieve positive settlement outcomes through a network of support, mentoring and opportunities.

Our multicultural youth support services are responsive to and informed by the needs of the young people we serve.

We provide one-on-one support where we work individually with each client, understand their aspirations and goals, help them to develop an action plan to achieve their goals and connect them with relevant services.

Our youth support initiatives

Our multicultural employment programs range from opportunities to learn vocational skills and complete placements in Queensland schools and businesses through to permanent job placements.

Working in collaboration with a wide range of organisations across Queensland, we are building a more culturally capable and economically viable workforce.

Our Youth team also develop aspiring leaders from refugee and migrant backgrounds through our Future Leaders Advocacy Group (FLAG), a collective who advocate for the needs of young people from culturally diverse backgrounds. Learn more

We who have come from many places acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land which always was and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island land. We pay our respects to their Elders throughout all time. We walk together in solidarity of the pain of the past and the shared hope for the future.
