Multicultural Australia is proud to work with the Queensland Government in providing programs to people from culturally and linguistic diverse backgrounds that support skills, training and employment. With support tailored to each participant’s individual needs and learning styles, clients have access to employment workshops, mentoring and coaching, assistance in getting overseas qualifications recognised, communication training, language and literacy workshops, work experience and networking opportunities.
Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW)
Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) provides an opportunity for long-term unemployed people to complete a certificate course or be employed in a traineeship whilst developing their job readiness capabilities.
Multicultural Australia designs and delivers SQW programs across Brisbane, Rockhampton and Toowoomba. SQW is an initiative of the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training.

Diverse Queensland Workforce
A Queensland Government funded initiative, the Diverse Queensland Workforce (DQW) program creates pathways to employment for underemployed and unemployed migrants, refugees and international students aged 18 years and over.
Multicultural Australia delivers the program in Redbank Plains (Ipswich), Inala, Woolloongabba, Toowoomba and Rockhampton.
Clients have access to individual career plans, support with resumes, job applications and online job searches, employment related information sessions, work readiness workshops. Covering topics in Australian workplace expectations, employment skills, digital literacy and networking. Career mentoring and referrals to work experience programs are also available.
