Connecting Through Sport for Participants
Why get involved?

Sport is a fun way to stay healthy and active, but it also connects communities and provides opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds to meet, play and share experiences.

The CTS program also aims to develop the capacity of community clubs.  Clubs benefit from receiving Cultural Awareness training and a Diversity Inclusion Action plan ably supported by Welcoming Australia.

For participants

Getting involved is easy! Sign up to a free four-week sports program with Connecting Through Sport! Complete the form here, and a CTS team member will be in touch.

Saman, Sipan and Rizgar fled Iraq with their family 4 years ago and settled in Toowoomba. The brothers had never played football before for a club and in a proper competition. The Connecting Through Sports program delivered by Football Queensland ran an introductory 4-week program from USQ Football Club.
