Culture of Connection | Welcome Sports keeping the community connected during COVID-19

Local sports clubs play a huge role in connecting neighbours and communities. Coronavirus restrictions have hit sporting clubs and codes hard, as well as the families and members for which they are an important source of physical activity and friendship.

Welcome Sports, our not-for-profit sporting hub in partnership with the El Salvador Soccer Club, is working hard to help its members stay connected during Coronavirus, posting online training videos until play can resume once more on the field. Channel 10 stopped by the club to share their story.

Culture of Connection invites communities and organisations across Australia to record and share with us your unique experiences, your stories, your creativity and your messages of hope and resilience through these extraordinary circumstances.
In turn, we'll share them with our community of 40,000 people across social media and e-news.
Your story might just be the one that gets someone else through this time.
Read our guide for ideas to share and how to submit your story.

Multicultural Australia respects and values Australia’s First Nation peoples’ enormous resilience, courage, determination and often unrecognized contributions to this country’s social and economic development. We walk together in solidarity in the shared pain of the past and with shared hope for the future.
