Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Multicultural Australia have joined forces to create the MOSAIC Multicultural Choir, bringing together individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds to rehearse, learn more about each other’s cultures, and spread joy through song.
The MOSAIC Multicultural Choir was launched at Multicultural Australia’s MOSAIC Festival at Roma Street Parklands on Sunday 18 September 2022. The choir rehearsed weekly for the last quarter of 2022 and finished the year with a performance at the Logan City Council Christmas Carols.
The choir is led by well-known Brisbane choir master Yani Mills. Yani has been directing choirs since 1993 and manages to mix a healthy combination of musical learning, fun and a thriving social community in her choirs. The choir will take up performance opportunities throughout the year at key QPAC and Multicultural Australia events.
We are now seeking expressions of interest for new choir members. Please complete this expression of interest form.
If you have any queries please contact Samantha Ryalls on 0412 544 321 or [email protected]

As previously mentioned, parking can be difficult, so if you can’t find street parking nearby you may like to park in one of our staff carparks which are 5 minutes’ walk away and situated on the opposite side of Ipswich Road (see map below).
Coming from the North, parking is at 150-152 Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba (see image 1). Or alternatively if coming from the South, corner Reis Street and Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba (opposite Officeworks, access via Morrissey Street overpass) (see image 2).
From both carparks it is a short walk along Ipswich Road (towards the city), up the stairs to the Morrissey Street overpass, then left into Dibley Street where you will see our building.
