In Rockhampton, our LUMINOUS Lantern Parade will be held at the Taste of the World Festival hosted by the Central Queensland Multicultural Association (CQMA) at the Rockhampton Showgrounds.

This is an opportunity to try new foods and enjoy lots of entertainment.

The Giant Laughing Kookaburra will be there from 4pm and will lead the lantern parade.

Represent your culture or community. A great activity for schools and families.

We will provide LED candles to light up your lanterns on the day.

Acknowledgement of country
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of all the lands on which we meet, work and live and recognise that this land has always been and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.

Multicultural Australia respects and values Australia’s First Nation peoples’ enormous resilience, courage, determination and often unrecognized contributions to this country’s social and economic development. We walk together in solidarity in the shared pain of the past and with shared hope for the future.
