Each year, the LUMINOUS Lantern Parade at Southbank gives a very warm Welcome to new Queenslanders.

Of course, because of COVID-19, thousands of us cannot gather together this year to make that happen.

Instead, you can say Welcome with our virtual lantern parade at LUMINOUS in the Neighbourhood.

Make your own lanterns at home with our lantern making tutorial video.

You can also pick up a free origami lantern from Suncorp branches across Brisbane.

On 14 November, light up your homes and neighbourhoods with your lanterns, take a photo and share them with us on our LUMINOUS photo wall.

As part of LUMINOUS in the Neighbourhood, The Giant Kookaburra and The Giant Koala will be visiting local Brisbane suburbs - stay tuned for the route map and how you can see it.

LUMINOUS in the Neighbourhood concludes the REIMAGINE program with a free world music and dance concert, premiering at 7pm.

Stay tuned - the event program will be published shortly!
