The LUMINOUS Lantern Parade at South Bank gives a very warm Welcome to new Queenslanders.
This year, the LUMINOUS program includes events in Toowoomba, Rockhampton, and local neighbourhoods across Brisbane as part of LUMINOUS in the Neighbourhood.

Giant Kookaburra Regional Queensland and Brisbane Tour | May - June
The world-famous Giant Kookaburra was built by Dr Faravardin Daliri OAM in the height of Brisbane’s COVID-19 lockdown as an
icon of unity and resilience. The massive sculpture was featured internationally on CNN, Buzzfeed and many more. In 2021, The
Giant Kookaburra will embark on a tour of regional Queensland, including stops at Toowoomba and Rockhampton, concluding its tour at South Bank as part of the LUMINOUS Lantern Parade on 4 June 2021.
