The Finance team leads and coordinates the organisation’s statutory and management reporting obligations through financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and internal control systems and processes. We support Executive Management, Senior Management, Programs and the organisation by adding value in key strategic decision-making and in keeping fit for the future.

What you can expect from this role:

  1. Assist in the collation of data for annual budgets, quarterly forecasting and end of year audits.
  2. Support the Management Accountants to complete month end and year end processes including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, within required timeframes/
  3. Contribute to maintaining accurate, relevant and timely financial records.
  4. Assist the transactions team with accounts payable and receivable transactions when required.
  5. Contribute to streamlining financial processes and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Support the Finance team and the wider organisation to ensure that all services are provided at the highest standard.
  7. Responsible for the bank reconciliation process for monthly financial close.
  8. Assist the Management Accountants in the preparation and submission of relevant financial acquittals for Grant Programs in compliance with agreed contracts.
  9. Work with Management Accountants to respond to ad-hoc requests and queries from Executive and Senior Management.

What we need from you

  1. Possession of tertiary qualifications in: Tertiary qualifications in the field of accounting, finance or equivalent and knowledge of Australia tax law and accounting standards.
  2. Valid Queensland Driver’s License.
  3. National Police Clearance Check.
  4. Demonstrated high level attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Team focused with the ability to contribute independently towards the team goals.
  6. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to plan own workload and meet deadlines.
  7. Intermediate computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate well in a cross-cultural working environment.
  9. Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
  10. TechOne experience an advantage.
